Mercedes Benz's AMG division has built a reputation around building high-performance luxury vehicles, unlike any other manufacturer. It would accelerate to 60 miles per hour in 3.6 seconds according to Road and Track and, with the removal of the electronic limiter, would reach an eye-watering top speed of 215 miles per hour. Mercedes did not make a muscle car with the SL65; they made a rocket ship.
